{"id":10143,"date":"2026-01-14T16:46:32","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T15:46:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hactebcn.org\/actualitat\/augmented-humanity-cycle-algorithms-with-bias\/"},"modified":"2026-01-14T16:48:48","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T15:48:48","slug":"augmented-humanity-cycle-algorithms-with-bias","status":"publish","type":"actualitat","link":"https:\/\/www.hactebcn.org\/en\/actualitat\/augmented-humanity-cycle-algorithms-with-bias\/","title":{"rendered":"Augmented Humanity Cycle: &#8220;Algorithms with bias&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Together with <strong>UPCArts<\/strong>, we are organising the <strong>&#8220;Augmented Humanity&#8221;<\/strong> series, a programme made up of <strong>four sessions open to the public<\/strong> that aims to analyse the <strong>ethical, social and philosophical challenges<\/strong> arising from technological development and its influence on the human condition.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The different meetings of the cycle will address how new technologies are transforming the way <strong>we think, create, relate and make decisions<\/strong>. The programme seeks to generate an <strong>interdisciplinary dialogue<\/strong> between the technological, humanistic and artistic fields, and to promote critical reflection on the role of technology in contemporary society. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Third session: <em>Algorithms with bias<\/em><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This session focuses on biased algorithms and analyzes how technology can reproduce, and even amplify existing inequalities, especially in relation to gender.
