{"id":7931,"date":"2025-09-16T16:37:11","date_gmt":"2025-09-16T14:37:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hactebcn.org\/?post_type=actualitat&#038;p=7931"},"modified":"2026-07-08T10:28:50","modified_gmt":"2026-07-08T08:28:50","slug":"open-call-for-participation-for-the-open-dialogues-programme","status":"publish","type":"actualitat","link":"https:\/\/www.hactebcn.org\/en\/actualitat\/open-call-for-participation-for-the-open-dialogues-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for the IBEC &#8216;Open Dialogues&#8217; art and science programme"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) is launching a call for participation in its new Art and Science programme, <strong>\u201cOpen Dialogues\u201d<\/strong>, thanks to the co-funding from the Ajuntament de Barcelona and the Severo Ochoa Accreditation for Excellence, and with the collaboration of <strong>HacTe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This initiative connects artists, who will be the lead applicants of the projects, with IBEC researchers, fostering co-creation processes from the earliest stages of scientific research. <em>Open Dialogues<\/em> aims to create meeting spaces that encourage new forms of collaboration between science and art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Artists and researchers will first meet in a <strong>Hackathon<\/strong> organised by IBEC, after which two teams will be selected to develop their projects. Over a <strong>five-month period<\/strong>, each team (composed of one artist and one IBEC scientist) will work together to explore IBEC\u2019s research and generate new ways of understanding, communicating, and addressing complex problems. The outcomes will be shared with the public in a <strong>final exhibition<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The programme offers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Meeting spaces and production support<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Guidance from a cultural manager<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access to IBEC\u2019s scientific environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Financial support for selected artists and researchers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Who can apply?<\/strong><br>Young artists of all disciplines (visual arts, digital arts, installation, video, sound, music, performance, etc.) residing in Catalonia, of any nationality, are welcome to apply.
