{"id":8969,"date":"2023-05-05T14:32:00","date_gmt":"2023-05-05T12:32:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.hactebcn.org\/actualitat\/we-participate-in-the-european-project-starts-in-the-city\/"},"modified":"2025-10-16T07:20:11","modified_gmt":"2025-10-16T05:20:11","slug":"we-participate-in-the-european-project-starts-in-the-city","status":"publish","type":"actualitat","link":"https:\/\/www.hactebcn.org\/en\/actualitat\/we-participate-in-the-european-project-starts-in-the-city\/","title":{"rendered":"We participate in the European project S+T+ARTS in the city"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>HacTe<\/strong> has been <strong>a beneficiary <\/strong>of the last call of the <strong>European Union <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/starts.eu\/what-we-do\/regional-centers\/\">\n  <strong>S+T+ARTS Regional Centers<\/strong>\n<\/a> program with the <a href=\"https:\/\/starts.eu\/article\/s-t-arts-in-the-city\/\">\n  <em>STARTS in the City<\/em>\n<\/a> project, with which it participates through a consortium with five other entities.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/starts.eu\">S+T+ARTS<\/a> programme aims <strong>to link technology and artistic practice more closely<\/strong> to address the social, environmental and economic challenges facing Europe. Among the different ways to support projects, STARTS created Regional <g id=\"gid_2\">Centers (CSRs)<\/g> in 2018 to offer funding to cultural institutions, innovative companies, foundations, universities and research institutions that co-develop digital projects for a more sustainable future. This modality gives special emphasis to the fact that <strong>regional ecosystems<\/strong> are much closer to people than States and, therefore, constitute a <strong>privileged space for social innovation and centered on human beings<\/strong>.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among the three winning projects of the last call is <g id=\"gid_0\">STARTS in the City, <\/g>which has been the result of a candidacy led by <a href=\"https:\/\/gluon.be\/\">\n  <strong>Gluon <\/strong>\n<\/a><strong>(Brussels), <\/strong>together with    <a href=\"https:\/\/www.meetcenter.it\/en\/home-page\/\">\n  <strong>Meet<\/strong>\n<\/a><strong> (Milan), <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ars.electronica.art\/planetb\/de\/\">\n  <strong>Ars Electronica <\/strong>\n<\/a><strong>(Linz), <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/inova.business\/\">\n  <strong>Inova+<\/strong>\n<\/a><strong> (Matosinhos), <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/kersnikova.org\/\">\n  <strong>Kersnikova<\/strong>\n<\/a><strong> (Ljubljana) and Hac Te.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The<em> S+T+ARTS in the City <\/em>project will run from April 2023 to October 2024. During this period, it will promote eleven artistic residencies where co-creation must solve a specific problem in each region. In the case of Hac Te, it will seek to provide solutions to <g id=\"gid_1\">three challenges through three residences<\/g>. The project is also characterized by the desire to strengthen links with the <strong>academic world<\/strong> to promote a new curricular approach to teaching in art, science and technology. Once the residencies have been concluded, the <g id=\"gid_3\">business potential<\/g> of the results will be explored, ensuring that the prototypes produced are viable and provide specific solutions to the market.
