With the aim of exploring the potential of these hybridisations and looking for new ways to promote them, <strong>HacTe and <a href=\"https:\/\/sonar.es\/en\/2023\/sonar-d-2023\">S\u00f3nar+D<\/a> present a programme with debates, artistic works and presentations.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u2013 Open Forum on Art, Science and Technology<\/strong> \u2013 Thursday 15 June, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Sonar\u00c0gora<\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the highlights of the programme will be the Open Forum on Art, Science and Technology, which will bring together different communities to share ideas, experiences and success stories. The aim is to offer a global vision of the current situation and what remains to be done. The conversation will be divided into three sections, each of which will feature specially selected speakers and guests from the artistic and scientific communities. They will be the ones who kick off the conversations:   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Why the relationship between art and science is important, relying on<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ernest Giralt, professor and chemist at the University of Barcelona specialising in synthetic molecules. Also an artist, he is responsible for artistic residencies at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine of Barcelona. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Anna Carreras, a generative artist and creative coder from Barcelona, whose work uses algorithms to create visuals that evoke memories and generate new ones.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Joan Llort, biogeochemical oceanographer at the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre who studies the links between the chemical composition of the oceans and the organisms that inhabit them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Exploring different models of residency, with<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>M\u00f3nica Bello, curator of the artistic programme at CERN, home to the Large Hadron Collider, the most powerful particle accelerator in the world. Among the residents are the artists Tomas Saraceno and Sigur\u00f0ur Gu\u00f0j\u00f3nsson. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evan Ziporyn, director of the CAST artistic residency program at MIT, a center that has hosted collaborations with the artist and musician Pamela Z; the artists Tomas Saraceno and Carsten H\u00f6ller; and the minimalist composer Terry Riley.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>M\u00f3nica Riki\u0107, electronic artist and creative coder from Barcelona, winner of the National Culture Award of Catalonia in 2021.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How artists are contributing to current challenges, with<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Rosanna di Nuzzo, head of international projects at the MEET Digital Centre in Milan, founded to support digital creativity and culture.<br\/>Ferran Marqu\u00e9s, lecturer in the Image Processing Unit of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), focused on image and video analysis.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fernando Cucchietti, Head of Data Analysis and Visualization at the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre, which hosts several artistic residencies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hactebcn.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Portada-web-Hac-Te-8-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8733\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hactebcn.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Portada-web-Hac-Te-8-1024x576.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.hactebcn.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Portada-web-Hac-Te-8-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/www.hactebcn.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Portada-web-Hac-Te-8-768x432.png 768w, https:\/\/www.hactebcn.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Portada-web-Hac-Te-8-1536x864.png 1536w, https:\/\/www.hactebcn.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Portada-web-Hac-Te-8.png 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">S\u00f3narAgora \/ S\u00f3nar+D<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u2013 Presentation of the ACTS Network and the White Paper on the interrelationship between Art, Science and Technology in Spain \u2013 <\/strong>Thursday 15 June, from 1 pm to 2 pm at Sonar\u00c0gora<\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then, from 1 p.m., two statewide projects will be presented. The first will be the recently created <g id=\"gid_0\">Red ACTS<\/g> (promoted by the hub itself, the <g id=\"gid_1\">Open University of Catalonia<\/g> and the <g id=\"gid_2\">Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation<\/g>), a shared network of artists, researchers and institutions. You can also see the olfactory work <g id=\"gid_0\">Chemical Ecosystem <\/g>by <g id=\"gid_1\">Yolanda Uriz<\/g> at <g id=\"gid_2\">S\u00f3nar+D<\/g>. The piece exemplifies the potential of the relationships between art, science, technology and society (ACTS).  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this same space, a series of four video capsules produced by Hac Te will be shown, reflecting on the collaborations between artists, scientists and technologists; the way in which we face transdisciplinary challenges; the digital art ecosystem in Catalonia or the social and economic impact of digital culture.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hactebcn.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Chemical-Ecosystem-3-1024x512.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8761\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hactebcn.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Chemical-Ecosystem-3-1024x512.webp 1024w, https:\/\/www.hactebcn.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Chemical-Ecosystem-3-300x150.webp 300w, https:\/\/www.hactebcn.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Chemical-Ecosystem-3-768x384.webp 768w, https:\/\/www.hactebcn.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Chemical-Ecosystem-3-1536x768.webp 1536w, https:\/\/www.hactebcn.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/Chemical-Ecosystem-3.webp 2000w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Chemical Ecosystem by Yolanda Uriz \/ Tom Mesic<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>\u2013 HacTe members at S\u00f3nar+D<\/strong> \u2013 From 15 to 17 June<\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the same time, during the three days of S\u00f3nar+D, the Project Area space will host different works and installations by HacTe&#8217;s partner institutions, such as the Institute for Research in Biomedicine of Barcelona (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.irbbarcelona.org\/en\">IRB Barcelona<\/a>) \u2013 one of the centres that make up the Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (<a href=\"https:\/\/bist.eu\/\">BIST)<\/a> community \u2013 or the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newartfoundation.art\/\">NewArt Foundation<\/a>, which exemplify the potential of co-creations between artists, scientists and technologists, while positioning Barcelona as an international pole in this field.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At Stage+D, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eina.cat\/en\/eina-idea\">einaidea<\/a> will present the performance <em>TURBULENCE AT BLACK BAY GRENADA <\/em>by the British artist Gaika and the Playmodes studio will show an installation powered by natural light, the result of a research process in which it has collaborated with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upc.edu\/ca\">Polytechnic University of Catalonia<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition <a href=\"https:\/\/www.upf.edu\">, the<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.upf.edu\">Pompeu Fabra<\/a> University in collaboration with S\u00f3nar+D is <a href=\"http:\/\/upf.edu\/web\/rainfilmfest\/summit\">organising the AI &amp;
