Tecnosis 2025: Open lunch at Hangar

Next Saturday, December 13, at 12:30 p.m., Hangar will host an open day to conclude the 2025 edition of Tecnosis. Conceived as a space for conversation and elaboration in real time, the session will have the participation of the artists Agustina Woodgate and Antonio Vega Macotela, who will present the processes and findings arising from the intensive workshops developed during the week.

The dialogue will be expanded with presentations by Elisabetta Broglio (Institute of Marine Sciences), Fernando Cucchietti (Barcelona Supercomputing Center) and Sebastian Grinschpun (Institute of High Energy Physics), in a round table on vulnerability and technoscience moderated by Tere Badia, director of HacTe. Finally, the researcher Júlia Nueno, a member of the Forensic Architecture team, will share a selection of projects and methodologies, focusing on the possible excesses and somatic consequences of computational systems.

Tecnosis is a program on technoscience and its biopolitical overflows, created with the impetus of einaidea, Hangar and HacTe. Based on the creation of situations of intensive coexistence and learning, and as an alternative to the learning modes of academia, Tecnosis brings together artists and researchers around common somatizations and vulnerabilities that manifest themselves both in their themes and work processes and in the social implications of their work. Through workshops and conferences, the intensives proposed each year unfold around specific projects or artifacts, investigating sensitive areas and points of intersection of artistic, technological and scientific practices. Tecnosis thus wants to observe the recent rapprochements between art, science and technology as signs of common concerns, even evils. Beyond mere analogies between worlds of research, this programme addresses vulnerabilities and potentials, including those of science itself as knowledge supposedly isolated, or at least protected, from biopolitical realities.
