HacTe works around four priority areas of action that mark its roadmap.
HacTe aggregates and transfers knowledge between different contexts based on the unique perspectives of arts, sciences, technologies and society, detecting transdisciplinary, exploratory, inclusive and sustainable practices, and learning from them in order to act by transforming and feeding back the different models of knowledge.
We are a space for the creation of cross-disciplinary knowledge methodologies. We enable member entities to work collaboratively and interconnectedly, crossing disciplinary boundaries to generate new skills within the framework of the paradigm of complex knowledge.
We make transdisciplinary research processes and the reuse, redistribution and reproduction of accumulated knowledge, its methods and prototypes accessible. We work to build bridges and encourage participation between the ACT field and diverse communities.
HacTe works on the creation of narratives that explore the hybrid nature of sectors and disciplines. That is why we are attentive to the debates on the contribution of transdisciplinarity to contemporary challenges and transformations, especially those that occur in the technological, scientific, cultural and social fields.
From the confluence of expertise of our members we aim to have a positive influence on, proposing and informing the various public policies to support the ACTS crossing. To this end, we participate in the debate on intersectoral political agendas, and propose new strategies for public and private R+D+i programmes that facilitate intersectoral collaborations and promote transversal talent.
HacTe promotes scientific-artistic, transdisciplinary and frontier research that questions contemporary issues where the arts, sciences, technologies and society can converge. As a multisectoral platform, HacTe concentrates collective talent with the ability to identify cross-cutting issues, creates open hypotheses and promotes critical thinking that transcends disciplinary and sectoral boundaries.
We generate specialized knowledge on disciplinary transversality to provide information, methodologies and networks to our members, the community that surrounds us and other interested agents.
We are a common area for research, collaboration and experimental testing. We actively seek diversity to reduce the fragility of ASTS practices, inspired by the principles of permaculture by asserting the transient, creative and multiple nature of transdisciplinary practices.
And an external one, which facilitates the creation of common meeting spaces for people and entities interested in the ACTS field, serving as a dynamic and integrative knowledge interface of communities, entities and diverse people, turning the Hub into a cross-sectoral reference space at different scales.
The functions of the Working Groups are informative, consultative, prescribing as well as driving activity in matters of interest to the Association. The working groups create informed opinion on HacTe’s position in relation to events, strategies or trends in ACTS policies and generate activity around the specific topic.
