In a global context of accelerated digital transformation, culture needs spaces for reflection and action that allow us to rethink the policies that sustain and guide it. To this end, the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) is organising this conference to put at the centre of the international debate the need to develop digital culture policies that are more critical, inclusive and aligned with the great social and technological challenges of our time. From HacTe, we participated in these conferences with the interventions of the director of the association, Tere Badia, as well as several members (UOC, UPC and Sónar).
This meeting aims to become a space for strategic dialogue between diverse voices from the cultural, technological and social worlds, with the aim of generating ideas and proposals with a vision for the future.
The program will include:
- A round table with experts in digital culture and cultural policies, to share perspectives, diagnoses and proposals for action.
- A dialogue with Santi Vilanova (Playmodes collective), creator of Constellations, a generative work that unites art, science and technology.
- A guided tour of the exhibition of the pieces of the work at the UOC’s facilities.
