This year, the Numerical 2025 grant has been presented, a research and creation initiative in residence that promotes critical thinking and artistic experimentation in digital environments. Promoted by Les Antípodes, it has the collaboration of the Bòlit – Centre d’Art Contemporani, the Toy Museum of Catalonia and HacTe – Hub of Art, Science and Technology of Barcelona, as well as the support of the City Council of Agullana and the Generalitat de Catalunya.
HacTe is pleased to collaborate in this edition by contributing its expertise in the intersection between art, science and technology.
The thematic focus of Numeric 2025 revolves around play as a cultural and expressive practice: a free, voluntary activity separate from everyday life, governed by its own rules, which encourages creativity, collaboration and experimentation. Proposals that address play as an end in itself will be valued, exploring its symbolic, aesthetic and relational dimensions through digital media or hybrid formats.
The call will be open from July 29 to August 29, 2025 and is aimed at artists, creators and researchers from any discipline who want to develop innovative projects around games as a search engine and creation.
