After the celebration of the ISEA2022 Barcelona, the 27th edition of the International Symposium on Electronic Arts, last June in the Catalan capital, you can now consult the book of proceedings and the complete catalogue of this reference event that has placed us as one of the epicentres of electronic art.
The book of proceedings includes reflections on our world of “Possibles” through 140 presentations by experts in the field, 45 institutional presentations, 40 artist talks, 18 posters and demos, 16 round tables and 13 workshops. It also includes more than 50 presentations from the Second Summit on New Media Art Archiving, where innovative ideas for archiving and preserving electronic art are proposed.
In turn, the catalogue brings together the works of art presented in the four main exhibitions of the ISEA2022 Barcelona, as well as other exhibition centres in the Catalan capital and the rest of Catalonia. A splendid display of more than 88 pieces at the intersection of art, science and technology, which also includes the 23 screenings and 13 performances shown during the symposium.
The ISEA2022 Barcelona has been organized by the UOC in collaboration with Hac Te, the Centre for Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (CCCB), the Santa Mònica, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona (MACBA), the NewArt Foundation, the Barcelona City Council, the Department of Culture of the Government of Catalonia and the Institut Ramon Llull. The symposium brought together a community of more than 750 experts in art, science and technology, as well as the most pioneering national and international digital artists At the same time, the citizens of Barcelona and the Catalan territory were able to participate in multiple activities, workshops, talks and performances, including the first drone show in Barcelona.
With the aim of collecting this deposit and contributing to the dissemination of culture and digital arts, Hac Te and with the support of the Institut Ramon Llull promoted the recording of the content offered during this symposium, available on the Hac Te Youtube channel.
