S+T+ARTS in the City Residences

In this video prior to his residency, London-based artist Mark Farid tells us how he wants to incorporate the interdisciplinary spirit and work together with researchers from the Open University of Catalonia in this nine-month residency. Farid will work on the ‘Invisible voice’ project to look for ways in which “people can come together and collectively influence the media agenda”.

HacTe was one of the five European regional centres that participated in S+T+ARTS in the City, a programme that invites artists to address, together with the scientific community, the challenges facing European regions today. Within the framework of this programme, HacTe promoted three artistic residencies in three research centres in Barcelona: the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO), the Institute of Robotics and Industrial Informatics of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (IRI CSIC-UPC) and the Open University of Catalonia (UOC).
