The City and Science Biennial 2025 will be held in Barcelona from 18 to 23 November, focusing on the profound transformations caused by physics and quantum technology. This edition, which continues to give visibility to initiatives and discourses at the intersection between art, science and technology, presents an extensive program co-curated by HacTe, Alba Cervera and Toni Pou, which has the participation of researchers from avant-garde research centers, academics and national and international creators.

We present a selection of 10 outstanding proposals that explore the boundaries between disciplines:

• Celluloid Multiverses: Quantum Physics in Three Films
  A cycle of films and debates at Cinema Maldà where fiction and science fiction will serve to explore the dilemmas and philosophical implications of quantum theory.

• Quantum cryptography for secure communications
  Live experiments by the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO), which will show how information transmission systems work with quantum protocols that guarantee insurmountable security.

• Art and quantum physics: a possible intertwining?
  Round table that delves into the relationship between physics and the arts, exploring the concept of quantum entanglement as a metaphor and as a material for artistic creation. The conversation will feature Carlo Rovelli, Mercedes Martín-Benito and Blanca Pujals.

• Cosmic rays in the city
  Participatory experiments promoted by the Institute of High Energy Physics (IFAE) to understand how high-energy particles are detected in the atmosphere and how citizens can contribute to particle science.

• Quantum Narratives – Julio Rojas and Jorge Carrión

  Public session for the presentation of questions and research projects in which artists and scientists participate

• On Quantum in Art
  Lecture by creator and researcher Paul Thomas, presented by Vicente Matallana (NewArtFoundation), which comprehensively explores the complex intersections between contemporary artistic practice and the principles of quantum physics.

• Science Night in the Born The great closing party with a program of activities that includes: the concert On the inaudibility of quantum sounds with Reiko Yamada, Maciej Lewenstein and Artur Majewski, scientific monologues by Big Van Ciència, the guided tour Quantum Dealers by Mario Santamaria unpublished, and the live music session Dorkbot, people who do weird things with electricity (and quantum computers).
