HacTe serves as the technical coordinator of redACTS, a strategic project that reinforces its commitment to the creation of a collaborative and dynamic space for the intersection of ACTS.
redACTS is the network that articulates the community made up of several key agents working on the interrelationship between Arts, Science, Technology and Society in Spain. Its aim is to create a common space that facilitates collaboration between people, groups, institutions and projects from different fields – such as research, production, education or dissemination – that want to be located at the intersection between art, science, technology and society.
This state network learns from its members, generates collective knowledge and connects different devices, dynamics and processes. Its main objectives are:
- To articulate the diversity of practices and agents in the field of ACTS, promoting joint projects and initiatives, and strengthening alliances between diverse actors and communities.
- To generate knowledge based on the learning obtained in pilots and research processes, with the aim of consolidating the theoretical and practical framework ACTS and disseminating good practices.
- Consolidate the network and its local nodes by promoting spaces for collaboration and internal listening, to guarantee the sustainability of the sector and strengthen its capacity for dialogue.
- To communicate and disseminate both the activity of the network and the plurality of practices and agents that make it up, through the creation of a repository of knowledge.
- To generate alliances and provoke synergies between different territorial contexts and institutions, both at national and international level, promoting collaborations with administrations, universities, research centres and entities linked to eco-social challenges.
redACTS emerged within the framework of ISEA 2022 in Barcelona, the result of the alliance between the CCCB, Hangar, the UOC and HacTe, and thanks to the impetus of the Daniel and Nina Carasso Foundation. During 2023, the network was consolidated with meetings held at its nodes in Catalonia, the Basque Country, Madrid and Valencia.
Currently, redACTS brings together more than three census of agents and institutions from all over the territory: cultural centres, universities, associations and individuals, with the artistic community as the central nucleus, always in transversal dialogue with science, technology and society.
Since 2023, HacTe has been the technical coordinator of redACTS, a strategic project that reinforces its commitment to the creation of a collaborative and dynamic space for the ACTS intersection.
