Reverse II: “The algorithm and capital”

Next Tuesday, November 11, 2025, HacTe organizes the second round table open to the public of the Reverse program, under the title “The algorithm and capital”, which will take place at the Antic Teatre at 6 p.m. The session will bring together Xavier Cubeles, Daniel G. Andújar, Mireia de Gràcia and Martina Nadal, moderated by Miquel Martí (TechBCN).

This open debate proposes to rethink how digital culture transforms creative economies, forms of authorship and cultural markets. From the emergence of generative artificial intelligence to new models of content monetization, the meeting aims to provide new perspectives on the limits and potentials of digital capital in contemporary culture.

Revers II delves into one of the main axes of the programme: how algorithmic systems and economic logics reconfigure creation, distribution and cultural value. In this framework, participants will discuss the tension between automation and authorship, the impact of digital platforms on artistic practices and the opportunities that open up to rethink cultural sustainability models.

This second session gives continuity to the cycle started with “Revers I: Contours, environments and peripheries of digital culture”, and is part of HacTe’s desire to promote a critical, open and interdisciplinary space on the transformations of current digital culture.
